My partner and I traveled round Myanmar for three weeks in November 2009. Amongst the hotels we stayed in during our tour of Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Inle Lake and Ngpali was the Red Canal. It truly is a beautiful hotel. The staff were without exception polite, helpful and were always smiling. The room we stayed in was lovely with a lovely veranda leading onto a little stream and waterfall. A definite must to stay in if anyone is visiting Mandalay. What a beautiful country and what warm friendly people we encountered everywhere we stayed.

This is a miracle of design on a residential lot, a tropical oasis of Burmese splendour that was everything we had hoped. The attentive and friendly staff could not have done more to make our 3-day stay enjoyable. The food in its restaurant is good and reasonable making trips to other restaurants unnecessary. The teak furnishings are impressive, and all details in rooms were excellent. The welcome cocktail and afternoon snacks were a nice touch. Iop class hospitality.

Perfect place to relax after a day exploring Mandalay area. Restaurant with serves very good food (especially Indian). Great swimming pool area, beautiful teak building with awesome decoration, good internet connection. Great staff who pays attention to every detail (they even print out a selection of the news of your country and give it to you in the morning!). We really enjoyed our stay there.

we had a wonderful time staying at this hotel.Every member of staff gave 100% to our comfort and needs. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our room was canal view facing the restaurant ,this was a great idea and highly recommended! You see the staff walking to and fro and so you get lots of smiles and conversations. All the staff were great at helping us to learn a few basic Burmese words and were very patient with their poor pupils! the food is wonderful and we spent many an hour enjoying the culinary skills of the chef served by the kindest waiters and waitresses who made our mealtimes such fun. full marks to all the reception staff such lovely ladies with beautiful smiles no matter how long the hours worked and a big hug and love to our young man on the entrance, he was such fun and so helpful.I don't mind admitting i cried when i left .Thanks to everyone and we will be back. ps the young ladies who cleaned our room were marvelous so thorough and conscientious and made our room a little oasis, miss your smiles and giggles! Please choose this wonderful cosy family run hotel if you enjoy personal service with high standards and good interaction with the people of Myanmar.

This boutique hotel is a perfect retreat in buzzing Mandalay. It is located in a residence area but some restaurants are in walking distance. Stuff is very helpful, friendly and always on your side. Our room (“Shan Suite”, which is a regular room) was prepared again every time we returned to the hotel. The place is kept very clean and tasteful.Internet is free and all the information you need is provided by the stuff. Rooms to the garden side are with a balcony overlooking the garden and restaurant or the pool. Breakfast selection is great and wet towels are always been offered when you arrive.

well, what can we say that adequately describes this hotel,we thought after a long hot day of sight seeing, that we had died and gone to heaven may be....to walk in to the reception and met by welcoming hands, handed a cool lemon tea,a flannel to wipe our face and hands(this every time we entered into reception)then taken to our airy spacious room, with a waterfall and outdoors shower, and a bath already full of cool water with hospitals just waiting to be stepped into,a bowl of fresh fruit waiting oh heaven..food cooked perfectly, comfy bed,all amenity superb, and staff could not be more helpful.Excellent stay, cant wait to return.

I've stayed at your hotel twice and both times had a wonderful time. The service was excellent, the rooms were comfortable, the food was good, and I would very much recommend your hotel to anyone visiting Mandalay. Your staff in particular were delightful.
